
Maltese magic: a media visit to The Village Boutique and Spa
Overall objective
The Village Boutique and Spa – a luxury hotel set in a converted Maltese farmhouse dating back 500 years – was keen to raise awareness of its offering, in order to optimise its wider sales and marketing strategy. Harnessing the support of the tourist authority, Visit Malta, Spice PR created an itinerary to showcase the key features of the hotel, including its stunning spa, its garden restaurant with seasonal, locally sourced menus and its central location in Malta which offers an ideal base for visitors wanting to explore the island.
Our approach
Spice PR worked closely with the client to create a compelling itinerary that would showcase the hotel and the destination, and prepared an invitation to attract the relevant media. Targeted outreach resulted in a group of leading travel writers and editors spanning a variety of media visiting on a three-night trip, with the Spice PR team on hand throughout to co-host. Following the trip Spice PR continued to liaise with the group to provide supporting information in order to ensure the journalists had all the details required for their features which ranged from national online news pieces to luxury magazine features.
